Shalat jenazah adalah shalat yang dikerjakan sebanyak 4 kali takbir, dan hokum dari shalat jenazah adalha fardu kifayah (kewajiban yang ditujukan kepada orang banyak, tetapi bila sebagian sudah melaksanakan maka gugurlah kewajiban bagi yang lain).
Rasulullah SAW bersabda : “Shalatkanlah mayat-mayatmu!” (HR. Ibnu Majah).
“Shalatkanlah olehmu orang-orang yamg sudah meninggal yang sebelumnya mengucapkan Laa ilaaha illallaah.” (HR. Ad-Daruruquthni).
Keutamaan orang yang menshalatkan jenazah dijelaskan dalam hadits berikut :
Dari Abu Hurairah ra, Rasulullah bersabda : ” Siapa yang mengiringi jenazah dan turut menshalatkannya maka ia memperoleh pahal sebesar satu qirath (pahala sebesar satu gunung), dan siapa yang
mengiringinya sampai selesai penyelenggaraannya, ia akan mamperoleh dua qirath.” (HR. Jama’ah dan Muslim).
Syarat Shalat Jenazah
1. Menutup aurat, suci dari hadats besar dan kecil, bersih badan, pakaian dan tempat dari najis serta menghadap kiblat. Hal ini sama seperti sholat biasa.
2. Jenazah telah dimandikan dan dikafankan.
3. Letak jenazah di sebelah kiblat orang yang menshalatkan kecuali shalat ghoib.
Rukun Shalat Jenazah
1. Niat
2. Berdiri bagi yang mampu.
3. Takbir empat kali.
4. Membaca surat Al-Fatihah.
5. Membaca sholawat atas Nabi.
6. Mendoakan mayat.
7. Memberi salam.
Sunnat Shalat Jenazah
1. Mengangkat tangan pada tiap-tiap takbir (empat takbir)
2. Merendahkan suara bacaan (sirr)
3. Membaca ta’awuz
4. Disunnahkan banyak pengikutnya
5. Memperbanyak shaf
“Setiap orang mu’min yang meninggal, lalu dishalatkan oleh umat Islam yang banyaknya sampai tiga shaf akan diampuni dosanya. Oleh sebab itu Malik bin Hubairah selalu berusaha membentuk tiga shaf,
jika jumlah orang yang shalat jenazah tidak banyak. (Diriwayatkan oleh Ahmad, Abu Dawud dan Ibnu Majah).
Rasulullah SAW said: "Shalatkanlah-carcasses of dead bodies!" (HR. Ibn Majah).
"Shalatkanlah ye people have died previously yamg say La ilaha illallaah." (HR. Ad-Daruruquthni).
The primacy of people who menshalatkan bodies described in the following hadith:
From Abu Hurairah, the Prophet said: "Anyone who accompanied the bodies and helped menshalatkannya he obtained Pahal of one qirath (reward for one of the mountain), and who accompanied him to
complete its implementation, it will mamperoleh two qirath." (HR. Jama ' ah and Muslim).
Terms Salah's body
1. Closing the aurat, hadats saint of large and small, clean body, clothes and place of filth and facing the Qiblah. It is the same as regular prayer.
