Phone Locator is a simple and user friendly application that help you to find your lost, misplaced or stolen phone.
You need to define keyword / phrase for available actions and through SMS you can execute these actions.
Available actions are the following:
- ring at maximum volume (even if the phone is on silent or vibrate mode)
- cancel ringing
- vibrate
- ring and vibrate
- turn on / off GPS
- turn on flash light
- reply location through SMS (complete address and coordinates)
Example: add key word “r&v” for ring and vibrate. Send SMS with r&v and your phone will start ringing at maximum volume and vibrate for 30 seconds.
Location is determined using GPS receiver if is available or from network provider. If you receive coordinates from your phone using network provider and you want a higher precision you can send a new request through SMS to turn GPS on and request location again in a few minutes. You'll get a reply automatically from your phone with complete address, GPS coordinates and maps.google.com link that can be open in any browser on maps application.
Pressing “Show my location” you can see your location on the map. By pressing a point on the map, tapped location is displayed in a toast.
