Questo è un gioco di combattimento tra carte a 6 posizioni. Il gioco utilizza una grande varietà di carte finemente elaborate permettendo ai giocatori di collezionarle, addestrarle e assemblarle. Oltre a nuove modalità di gioco secondarie e numerosi eventi quotidiani, i giocatori avranno la possibilità di incontrare e pirati e marinai a loro noti, ripercorrendone la storia e creandone una nuova.

Il gioco utilizza un sistema di combattimento a turni, con una griglia composta da due file e tre colonne per un totale di sei posizioni. Le tue carte vengono disposte in questi spazi e attaccano in base alla velocità e alla posizione. Per ottenere la vittoria dovrai essere in grado di sfruttare le caratteristiche di ogni carta, disponendola nella giusta posizione ed affiancandola con i compagni ideali.
I giocatori possono fare quello che preferiscono e possono definire in esclusiva le regole del proprio mondo (everybody wants to rule the world). Personaggi che sarebbero morti potranno avere una nuova occasione di realizzare i propri sogni all'interno della tua squadra. Oltre ad ottenere carte ad addestrarle, i giocatori potranno anche collezionare potenti navi pirata, addestrare rari animali, combinare squadre con differenti caratteristiche e prepararsi a salpare per il grande viaggio.
