This application is based on Ingress map which is exact same as PokemonGo map so you can use this map to locate Ingress portals too, Niantic use exact map in both games.
So with this app you need to sign with your google account which you used in Ingress, to see the map.
Every dots in the map is the location of PokeStop or Gym if you play PokemonGo leave the rest of information.
If you play Ingress too you can see Enlightened field or Resistance field in map.
