A Primeira Liga é o escalão principal do sistema de ligas de futebol de Portugal. Adicionalmente, as equipas da Primeira Liga participam na Taça da Liga e na Taça de Portugal, entrando na segunda e terceira eliminatórias destas competições, respectivamente.
