This application will provide the needed catalyst for the nationwide implementation of the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) for students and teachers. A consortium led by Arizona\nState University (ASU), in partnership with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), Casio, and others will lend their united experience and resources to this effort. The\nconsortium will develop, evaluate, and disseminate an online, digital video library (DVL) of teachers integrating technology. The DVL series of standard-based instruction is based on the NETS for\nStudents: Connecting Curriculum and Technology (2000) and the teacher standards publication NETS for Teachers: Preparing Teachers to Use Technology. Teacher candidates and educators will be able to\naccess video of the technology standards in action, anytime, anywhere. The DVL will be supplemented with expert commentary and curriculum resources. Online technology in foundations courses for\npreservice teachers will also be developed.
