The group has been created by like minded people to provide drinking water to the poor in villages adjoining Belgaum. We are having short term and long term goals. The short term for immediate action is to provide water by tankers to the villages worst effected by the drought. The long term is to get help from outside and prepare a comprehensive plan for the villages so they don't have to face situations like this again.
This group will work without political affinities and address the needs of the most needy. In the next two week we want to supply drinking water to ten villages three tankers every alternate day, that amounts to two hundred tankers.
The group has to take responsibility of generation of funds, choosing the target villages, choosing the best routes and nearest water supply agencies, delivering the water, getting the people to the spots designated for distribution of water and then equitably distribute the water.
