A Radio Monte Shamah nasceu junto com ministério Comunidade Evangélica Monte Shamah que é uma Igreja Evangélica Neopentecostal fundada em Fevereiro de 2017, pelo Shepherd Teodoro, presidente do Ministério. Mineiro da Capital, durante um acampamento em 2005 organizado pelo grupo jovem da Sara Nossa Terra, liderado na época pelo Bispo Erasmo Duarte, se converteu e foi batizado em Outubro daquele mesmo ano. Motivado por um amigo passou a frequentar a IMPD onde em Fevereiro de 2011, foi consagrado a Pastor pelo Bispo Itamar Pereira, assumindo o Pastorado na Região de Juiz de Fora. Descendente de uma geração de Pastores jovens como Pedro Estrella, Pastor da Igreja Metodista em Venda Nova (BH), Thiago Rodrigo Pastor da Igreja Ame Joinville (SC) Vinícius Zulato Pastor da Igreja Batista da Lagoinha (BH) sempre teve no coração o desejo de se tornar um grande líder. Após se desligar da IMPD por motivos pessoais, começou a realizar reuniões em um local até então denominado apenas como “Um lugar de Oração” influenciado pela natureza e a beleza dos refúgios espirituais que buscava em montes do circuito das Terras Altas da Mantiqueira veio a se apaixonar pela cidade de Itamonte no Sul do Estado de Minas. O nome da igreja surgiu após a leitura da passagem de Zacarias 6:15 “Grande quantidade de pessoas virá de longe e ajudará a edificar o Templo do SENHOR. Então reconhecereis que o Eterno Todo-Poderoso me enviou para vos trazer esse anúncio. Isso só ocorrerá se agirdes com shâma’, obediência cuidadosa e fiel, à voz de Yahweh, o SENHOR vosso Elohim, Deus”. A expressão Monte é uma homenagem a cidade que veio a se apaixonar; Shamah de origem hebraica (Deus Sempre Presente ou O Senhor está Ali) surgiu integrando o local denominado como “Um Lugar de Oração” considerado como profético ficou definido portanto o nome“ Monte Shamah um Lugar de Oração”.
