Radio Sarangkot is a community radio dedicated to promote and protect local economy, health, women empowerment, education and culture. It is a sister organization of Sarangkot Multipurpose Co-operatives Ltd. It was established in Sarangkot with an aim to work towards the betterment of society and upliftment of the poor and underprivileged. The goal is to uplift the economic status of its members. It also plans to raise the awareness among the members and local people. Now the co- operative is expanding its activities. It has been granted permission to run Sarangkot Community Radio. It is possible to hear Radio Sarangkot on 104.6 MHz.The main aim of Sarangkot radio is to bring about public consciousness by giving impartial local, national and international news. It will also run the health and entertainment programme.
