Chess is an excellent logic game on the board, which develops those skills such as tactics, strategy, visual memory.
Chess pieces:
- The pawn moves forward one or two squares at the first move of this piece, captures one square diagonally forward.
- The king moves one square at a time vertically, horizontally or diagonally.
- The queen moves at any distance vertically, horizontally or diagonally.
- The tower moves at any distance vertically or horizontally.
- The horse moves on a square that is in two vertical squares and one horizontal one or a vertical square and two horizontal ones.
- The madman moves at any distance diagonally.
Important situations in Chess:
- Chess - situation in chess, when a king is under immediate attack of the opponent's pieces
- Chess Mat - the situation in chess, when the player who is about to move is in chess and has no move allowed to escape chess.
- Baby - chess situation, when the player to move has no move allowed and is not in chess. (draw)
The object of the game is to give checkmate to the other king.
Two special moves in Chess:
- The fortress is a double move, made by the king and the tower, which never moved.
- En passant is a move in which a pawn can take the opponent's pawn if it jumps over a pawn catch field.
