After installing the app, Sign in on the Rewards page and select "Stay Signed in". (The sign in information will be not be stored in the app, but will be stored as it is stored in the browser).

If searches are being performed but not crediting it is likely an issue between the Bing website and your connection type or IP address. Often changing between wifi and mobile data or toggling airplane mode and signing in again will solve this problem.
