Starting his career in the late 1970s, he has already released more than 15 albums with numerous successful singles and has sold over 22 million record worldwide. He is currently married to Marlene Rodriguez. He has two older sons from a first marriage Alejandro Reglero and Hector Reglero followed by Ricardo Reglero, Mauricio Reglero and Evaluna Reglero, all of them have been involved with musical projects.

Héctor Eduardo Reglero Montaner, (Avellaneda,1 Argentina; 8 de septiembre de 1957) mejor conocido por su nombre artístico como Ricardo Montaner es un cantautor y músico venezolano, argentino y colombiano. A temprana edad, Montaner se fue a radicar a la ciudad de Maracaibo, Venezuela, donde creció y se formó como cantante. Junto a su primer productor musical, el cantautor ítalo-venezolano Roberto Luti, y otros amigos, decidieron que debía tener un nombre artístico, escogieron el nombre de Ricardo en vez de Héctor, y adoptó el apellido de su mamá, así nació el nombre Ricardo Montaner. ha vendido a lo largo de su carrera más de ;100millones de copias de todos sus álbumes.
