ShareCast is a multi-technology communication “platform” to facilitate the information-exchange between people, specifically in emergencies. The app has an “Emergency Button” to notify friends in case of an emergency via SMS, email, Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp tagged with user's location. It also has the functionality of sending requests, as per a selection of six categories: Medical Emergency, Security Alert, Car Broke-down, Financial Support, Missing Person and Lost & Found.
