Skanni C-19 is the official mobile app for scanning and verifying the EU Digital COVID Certificate (EU DCC) in Iceland. The app is intended for event organizers and other proprietors to facilitate the verification of digital certificates of COVID-19 test results to support COVID-19 pandemic measures that pose limitation on public gatherings. The Skanni C-19 app reads the EU DCC QR-code, either from the screen of a mobile phone or from a printout of the QR-code using the internal camera, and confirms its validity using the EU DCC trust framework. The app indicates in a simple way if the certificate is valid or not. The app also displays the name and birthday that is stored in the QR-code. No data is stored on the mobile device. The app is designed for off-line verification.
