The Lord grants sweet sleep to his beloved (Psalm 127:1-2). Those who put their trust in the Lord can rest easy knowing that the Lord never sleeps (Psalm 121:3-4) and that he is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20-21). Too much sleep, however, can lead to slothfulness, and even poverty. There is a time and a place for everything and the bible warns against sleeping in harvest.
