In Tales with GiGi you can find more than 40 narrated and illustrated fairy tale stories for kids such as: Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Rapunzel, Snow White, The Gingerbread Man, Alice in Wonderland etc. specially designed to challenge kids to think and improve their reading skills and have fun in the meantime. Your child can choose to have the narrator read out loud or to read by herself/himself at her/his own pace.
"Sleeping Beauty" (French: La Belle au bois dormant "The Beauty Sleeping in the Wood") by Charles Perrault or "Little Briar Rose" (German: Dornröschen) by the Brothers Grimm is a classic fairy tale involving a beautiful princess, a sleeping enchantment, and a handsome prince.
Once upon a time, the Queen gave birth to a baby princess, and all the fairy godmothers came down to give the infant blessings. However, one evil godmother set a curse that would make the princess prick her finger on a spindle of a spinning wheel and die. But one of the good godmothers saw that and set a magic on the princess that she would be asleep, instead of dead, for a hundred years until a prince comes and wakes her from her sleep.
At the age of 16, the princess got her finger pricked by the spindle, and fell asleep. After 100 years, a walking-by prince sees the beautiful princess sleeping in the castle. When he kissed her, she awakes, and they fall in love with each other. The princess marries the prince and they live happily ever after.
