SMS Radar is a convenient application that allows you to monitor the location of paired phones. It can be used for many purposes for instance, Child monitoring, Staff tracking, Health and Safety for people working in a community settings (Health Professionals), Finding closest Team Member, Phone Tracking, Meeting up with Family while out and about.
IMPORTANT: YOU NEED SMS RADAR INSTALLED ON ALL PAIRED DEVICES.
SMS Radar works by pairing your device with another device running SMS Radar. The pairing and all communications between devices is performed through SMS text messages which means that it will work even if the target device doesn't have a ata connection.
The accuracy of SMS Radar is determined by the accuracy of the location hardware built into your phone. For the lowest power consumtion you should leave the setting to Network Provider - which simply uses the cell phone communication towers to identify your approximate location. For more accurate location, or for when there is no cell phone coverage, the phone should be set to GPS, however this does tend to use more battery power. GPS is more accurate when outside but may have problems obtaining a lock when you are inside.
PERMISSIONS REQUIRED
SEND_SMS - SMS Radar communicates with paired devices using SMS messages.
RECEIVE_SMS - SMS Radar communicates with paired devices using SMS messages.
CALL_PHONE - SMS Radar has an option that allows you to initiate a phone call to a paired device displayed on the map.
ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION - SMS Radar needs this permission to determine the phones location.
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION - SMS Radar needs this permission to determine the phones location.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETE - Allows SMS Radar to automatically starts the SMS Radar Service at power on.
INTERNET - Used by Google Play Services and Google Map APIs.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - Used by Google Play Services and Google Map APIs.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - Used by Google Play Services and Google Map APIs.
