THE NUTS AND BOLTS
Personalize your profile with up to 15 interests and tell us what you’re looking for - a date, friend, or biz connection. Then, snap a quick pic or video - no catfishing here. Not into selfies? You can add more pictures or videos from your camera roll once you’ve taken your live shot.
See what’s hot using our interactive heatmap, which shows local areas where users are active. A hotspot appears wherever at least five active users are in a one-mile radius. (No fears - we never show a person’s exact location, just that they are within one mile.) Click on a hotspot to see a list of active users, ranked by the number of common interests.
If you don’t want to go far and are looking for a nearby connection, click the Explore tab to see if anyone is within one mile of you.
When you are within one mile of a hotspot or you’ve spotted a profile you like on the Explore tab, send a connection request to your chosen person.
If your connection request is accepted within 30 minutes, a chat box will pop up along with a list of certified nearby meet-up spots, such as restaurants, coffee shops, or bars. But act fast - the chat box is only live for 30 minutes.
Pick a place to meet; and then, it’s time to gather some courage. It’s happening Soone.

Let’s be real. Meeting new people can be a struggle. Soone’s college-aged founders experienced this first-hand. They wanted to meet people Soone, not later. They wanted to put the phone down and talk to someone face-to-face. So, they created a way to make it happen - a way for people to meet that was more casual and timely than other apps out there. Based on the importance of real-life conversation, Soone allows users to meet in person quickly to see if there’s a mutual interest in building a connection - romantic, platonic, or professional.
SAFETY FIRST
We take safety and privacy very seriously. Here are a few ways we’re looking out for you:
Soone requires everyone’s initial profile picture or video to be taken live, not uploaded, to prevent catfishing.
Users must verify their email address. No bots allowed.
A user’s specific location is never shown, only that they are within a one-mile radius of a “hotspot” or active user.
The app only suggests certified public locations for meet-ups.
We never sell or share specific user information.
