Sekilas tentang sriguntin,dinamakan srigunting dikarenakan cabang pada ekor burung ini menyerupai gunting.
Burung ini pada umumnya berwarna hitam pekat dan mengkilap hanya jenis srigunting tentunya yang berwarna lain .
Ukuran burung srigunting memang tergolong besar untuk burung kicau.
