Swachh is an initiative and a community platform to motivate people towards developing a cleaner India. The idea was kickstarted when Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially launched Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Campaign Clean India) on 2 October 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi, himself wielded broom and cleaned a road.
When a prime minister can, why not we? This is the thought that made us to work on this initiative. Prime Minister’s appeal to every citizen of India is to dedicate 100 hours every year. It comes around just 2 hours in a week. It is very less than the time that we spend to watch a movie. We make the Government’s mission as simple as possible for you. We will make the platform open to you where you can contribute towards the mission. Being a student, professional, housewife, retired employee, everyone will definitely have a role here. Right now we have made our mobile, web, social platforms for the people to contribute.
When Narendra modi announced the project, he nominated 9 celebrities to continue the mission as a chain event similar to the popular ice bucket challenge. We have already seen respectable celebrities like Sachin Tendulkar, Priyanka Chopra, Salman khan started the mission on their way. Do we need to wait till someone nominates you? why not we be proactive and be a responsible citizen?
To answer the question, how will our platform be helpful towards the mission? Say, one of the member found a dirty place or pothole somewhere nearby his location, he/she can immediately take a picture of it from their mobile phone using our app. They can enter all the possible details before uploading. Then we will intimate people from around that place regarding that. Basically our app is completely geo location based. Whenever you move to a new place, you can see all the posted dirty places around that area. Once you are interested towards cleaning up the dirty place, you can voluntarily add yourself and also you can communicate with other volunteers within the app. That makes the job easier when most of the volunteers are your friends from Facebook. We will also help in organizing the Swachh initiative with the help of NGOs and also if possible with the help from Government.
We are speaking with people from NGOs, Schools, Colleges, Corporates on helping our platform. We will have our first official Swachh program in the coming month. We are gathering a bunch of locations towards the initiative. We will finalize once we decide where more people can contribute or if we can do it in parallel on multiple locations. Our goal is to make people contribute a few minutes through the easiest way possible.

It will be of great help to us in achieving this mission together successfully. When we have achieved India’s Mars Mission at the first attempt itself and also at a far lesser budget, mission towards Clean India is never going to be a tough task.
App works completely based on User's location. So we will have access to GPS data. But we will use it ONLY for fetching details inside the app and NOT for any other purposes. Also we don't store the data anywhere.
