Taekwondo (also spelled Tae Kwon Do or Taekwon-Do) is a Korean martial art that is also a national sport of Korea. This is one of the world's most popular martial arts competed in the Olympics.
In Korean, only for Tae means "kicking or destroying with the feet"; Kwon means "boxing"; and Do means "way" or "art". Kyorugi or battle is an exercise that applies basic motion techniques or poomse, where two people fight each other to practice attack techniques and foot defense techniques.
