Description [menu]
The Telephone Preference Service (TPS) is the UK’s official no-call list.
Marketers must remove people registered on the TPS from the call lists. It’s the law.
Many people don’t realise that you can also register your mobile phone.
Downloading this app means you have even more control over your incoming calls.
However, unusual numbers may still call you. Some may be legitimate, from your bank or doctor. Some may be illegal.
The app also allows you to report your incoming calls to give others in indication of whether the number may be legitimate.
What does TPS Protect do?
TRUST
For every call you receive, we can give an indication of how trustworthy that call is.
If TRUST = 1 then we have identified this call as untrustworthy or potentially a scam
If TRUST = 5 then we have identified a trusted call
You choose the level of TRUST to accept.
CATEGORY
You can also choose what categories of calls to accept.
Do you want to block all nuisance calls from accident claims providers?
Do you want to accept all calls from charities?
You choose.
REPORTING
A simple way to report the calls you receive.
Once you have been on the TPS for 28 days, marketing calls you didn’t ask for and didn’t expect could be illegal.
By making a complaint you help the TPS and industry regulators to take action against nuisance callers, and help protect others using TPS Protect.
Why Use TPS Protect?
TPS Protect is the only call blocking app integrated with the TPS. By using this app, you help us catch and fine individuals and companies making illegal calls.
As the app relies on the feedback of its users. The more who download and use this app and report incoming nuisance calls, the better the service will be. Which adds an extra layer of protection for you.
We guarantee your privacy, which other call-blocking apps cannot.
The app has both free and paid-for features.
When you first download the app you will have access to the paid-for features, including call diverts to voicemail, manage a Block and Approved List, and Custom Settings for 60 days. Once the free period has expired you can renew for just 99p per month.
TPS Protect’s basic services are always FREE.
Always Free Features:
• Incoming Call Screening
• Number lookup and reporting
• Simple TPS registration
TPS Protect’s Subscribed features for 99p per month:
• Divert nuisance calls to voicemail
• Personal block List
• Personal Approved List
• Greater control via custom settings
A TPS Protect subscription is auto-renewable, which means that once purchased it will be auto-renewed every month until you cancel it 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Duration of the subscription is 1 Month with a charge of £0.99 every month.
