Do you want more trainer friends in PoGO?
Trainer Codes allows you to share your trainer code with other trainers and add them to your friends list!
In Trainer Codes you can specify what you're looking for:
- PVP
- Raid Invites
- Send and receive Gifts
- Trade PKMN
Niantic added a feature to add other Pokemon GO Trainers to enable social interactions in the game back in 2008.
Why are friends useful in PokemonGO?
1. PVP Battles - You can challenge your friends for a PVP battle. And win achievements and items.
2. Raids - Friends can invite you for remote Raid Bosses and you can also invite them back if you need more players in your party. Inviting friends will make the Raid Boss easier to defeat and to capture with the Friendship bonuses the game gives you while inviting trainers.
3. Gifts - Everyday, you can send and receive gifts and stickers! You collect Gifts in PokeStops and Gyms. Sending Gifts is a good way to increase your friendship levels and gain XP, medals and other advantages even for remote players.
4. Trades - If you happen to be close to a pokemon Go Friend, you will be able to trade monsters with them! With your increasing friendship level comes the possibility to have a “lucky” Pokemon that will have lower Stardust requirements to evolve.
How to use Trainer Codes?
Copy any trainer code shown on the app by tapping on it. The code will automatically be copied in your clipboard, and all you have to do is to paste it in game.
To add a friend in Pokemon Go, open the game and tap your Avatar icon on the bottom left side, then go to the FRIEND tab on the top right of the screen then tap "Add Friend" and paste the trainer code.
In the Trainer Codes App, you can also publish your own code going to the Profile Tab and filling in your Trainer Code, Trainer name, Team and what you’re looking for (Raids, Gifts, Trading, PVP). Other trainers will now see you appear on the top of the list and you’ll receive in-game invites!
