The Transgender Encounter Project is a grass-roots stealth action ~ a SAFE and ANONYMOUS action ~ that allows transgender people to bring awareness to just how many of us move around in society, unseen and unrecognized... and raise awareness for cis folks everywhere that ~ yes, indeed ~ they *have* met us and they *do* know us. This will exponentially raise awareness of who we are and, encounter by encounter, change our society.
How can our presence become normal and acceptable and how can our identities become harmless for cis gender folks if they don't ever have a clue that they've interacted with us? How can we make ourselves known in every day life without putting ourselves at risk of harassment or harm?
