Functionaliteiten van deze versie van de VID-app, waarin vrijwel alle bekende bugs zijn gefixt, zijn:
- ACTUELE VERKEERSINFORMATIE: rechtstreeks uit de VID-meldkamer komt de betrouwbare en actuele verkeersinformatie over A- en N-wegen.
- VERKEERSINFORMATIE OP JOUW ROUTE: Maak verschillende alternatieve routes aan voor de reizen die je het meest maakt. Je kunt de reistijd van de verschillende routes vergelijken, maar de routes ook gebruiken in de ‘onderweg’-modus. De app geeft verkeersinformatie specifiek voor jouw route(s).
- ONDERWEGMODUS: Door het klikken op het stuurtje van een reisalternatief kom je in de ‘onderweg’-modus. Deze is bedoeld om te gebruiken tijdens de rit en vergelijkt steeds de reistijd op met de reistijd van alternatieve routes. Bovendien wordt, op grond van de route die je volgt, door de app zelf vastgesteld welk alternatief nog of weer beschikbaar is. In de buurt van jouw bestemming kunnen verschillende route-alternatieven weer bij elkaar komen. Zo kan je steeds de beste keuze maken onderweg. Daarnaast ontvang je alle meldingen, incidenten, omleidingsroutes op jouw route, wordt de resterende reistijd actueel bijgewerkt (je weet dus steeds hoe laat je op je bestemming bent). Ook zie je de geldende maximum snelheid waar je op dat moment rijdt.
- -THUISWERKADVIES: Het thuiswerkadvies geeft op basis van je persoonlijke instellingen en de actuele verkeerssituatie op je huis-naar-werk-route aan of het verstandig is om (tijdelijk) thuis te werken en zo onnodige vertraging te voorkomen. De app stuurt je (indien gewenst) automatisch een pushbericht wanneer de vertraging is opgelost zodat je kunt kiezen om alsnog zonder vertraging naar je werk te gaan.
- EXTRA INFORMATIE: Via de app kun je meekijken naar de beelden van de verkeerscamera’s. De app bevat ook informatie over het OV. In het ‘meldingen’-venster kan voor ÓV-info’ worden gekozen waarna de belangrijkste treinvertragingen worden getoond. Bij het afbreken van de ‘onderweg’-modus kan voor OV-informatie worden gekozen: de actuele OV-vertrekinformatie in de buurt waar de gebruiker zich bevindt. Deze is speciaal bedoeld voor het eventueel voortzetten van een reis met het OV.
- KOPPELING NAAR DE VID-WEBSITE: Met een gebruiksaccount van de app kun je ook inloggen op de VID-website. Daarmee wordt de verkeersinformatie afgestemd op jouw profiel en kun je ook gegevens terugzien van de reizen die je hebt gemaakt.
Deze app bevat advertentiebanners. Middels een eenmalige in-app purchase kan je de advertenties uitzetten. Vanzelfsprekend blijven eerder gedane in-app purchases gelden, dus heb je eerder al de uitbreiding aangeschaft dan blijft de app advertentievrij (kies hiervoor 'Aankoop herstellen')
