Dengan menggunakan aplikasi ini pengguna dapat menjelajahi dan merasakan secara langsung sedang berada di dalam Museum Monumen Pers Nasional Surakarta yang terdiri dari Gedung Induk dan Ruang Pamer.
Virtual Reality ini dibuat untuk sarana publikasi agar museum lebih dikenal masyarakat luas khususnya Museum Monumen Pers Nasional Surakarta dan menjadi pilihan destinasi wisata edukasi untuk mengenal jejak sejarah dan perkembangan pers di Indonesia melalui koleksi benda peninggalan bersejarah pers.
Untuk menggunakan aplikasi ini diperlukan perangkat pendukung seperti :
1. Kacamata 3D VR / Google Cardboard
2. Gamepad
Dan minimum spesifikasi smartphone :
1. Smartphone Android versi 4 (KitKat)
2. RAM 2GB

Aplikasi ini hanya mencakup beberapa objek yang berada di dalam Ruang Pamer dan Gedung Induk pada Museum Monumen Pers Nasional Surakarta serta untuk peletakan posisi objek pada aplikasi ini berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan pembuat pertama kali ke Monumen Pers Nasional yaitu pada bulan Februari 2017.
Aplikasi VR Museum Monumen Pers Nasional Surakarta dibuat oleh mahasiswa D3 Teknik Informatika Fakultas MIPA UNS yaitu Riki Kantona dan Yudi Setiawan VR National Press Monument Museum Surakarta is the application of virtual reality in the form of a collection of objects of historic press presented in three dimensions and description of every object in the form of audio. By using this application, users can discover and experience directly was in Surakarta National Press Monument Museum which consists of a main building and showroom.
Virtual Reality is made to publications that museum better known public especially the National Press Monument Museum Surakarta and become tourist destinations education to recognize traces the history and development of the press in Indonesia through a collection of objects of historical heritage of the press.
To use this application required supporting devices such as:
1. 3D Glasses VR / Google Cardboard
2. Gamepad
And minimum smartphone specs:
1. Smartphone Android version 4 (KitKat)
2. 2GB RAM
3. Having Gyroscope Sensor
This application covers only a few objects that are in the Exhibition Room and the Main Building at the National Press Monument Museum Surakarta and for laying the object's position on this application is based on observations made first maker to the National Press Monument ie in February 2017.
