Xuan Quynh (1942-1988), ist ein vietnamesischer Dichter. Sie gilt als ein berühmter Dichter mit vielen populären Gedichten wie Boat and Sea, Wave, Love Poetry am Ende des Herbstes, Chicken cocktail ... Sie wurde dem Staat von Vietnam posthum mit dem Staatspreis und ausgezeichnet Ho Chi Minh Award für Leistungen in der Literatur des Landes. Ihr richtiger Name ist Nguyen Thi Xuan Quynh, geboren am 6. Oktober 1942 in La Khe Dorf, Van Khe Kommune, Ha Dong Stadt, Ha Tay Provinz (heute Ha Dong Bezirk, Hanoi). Geboren in einer Beamtenfamilie, Mutter früh verstorben, Vater oft von zu Hause weg gearbeitet, wurde sie von der Kindheit bis zum Erwachsenenalter von Großmutter großgezogen. Im Februar 1955 wurde Xuan Quynh in die Zentrale Volksdelegation eingezogen und zum Tänzer ausgebildet. Sie trat viele Male im Ausland auf und nahm 1959 am Weltjugendtreffen in Wien teil. Von 1962 bis 1964 studierte Xuan Quynh am Young Writers Refresher Course (1. Kurs) der Vietnam Writers Association. Nach Abschluss der Schule arbeitete sie in der Van Nghe Zeitung, Vietnam Women's Newspaper. Xuan Quynh ist seit 1967 Mitglied des Exekutivkomitees der Vietnam Writers Association III. Im Jahr 1973 heiratete Xuan Quynh mit Dramatiker, Dichter Luu Quang Vu, zuvor Xuan Quynh zum ersten Mal mit einem Musiker der Central People's Army verheiratet und wurde geschieden. Von 1978 bis zu seinem Tod war Xuan Quynh der Herausgeber des New Book Publishing House.
