الكل يتفق على أن القراءة هي عملية معرفية ووسيلة للوصول إلى أعظم غاية وهي الفهم والإدراك. ولا نختلف أبدًا على أن قراءة الكتب العلمية والتاريخية والدينية والفلسفية تصل بنا إلى هذا الفهم والإدارك. ولكن هل قراءة القصص والروايات والأدب عامة تؤدي إلى نفس الأمر؟
أتذكر دائمًا أنه حينما كان والدي يشاهدني أمسك برواية يعنفني قائلًا (اقرأ لك شيئا مفيد بدلا من الحكايات والحواديت التي لا طائل من ورائها .
هل فعلا القصص والروايات لا طائل من ورائها؟ أليس من الأجدر فعلا أن يقرأ الإنسان كتابًا فكريًا أو ثقافيًا أو علميًا عوضًا عن ذلك؟
